A legend in the annals of Liverpool and English football, our gaffer, Robbie Bernard Fowler, needs no introduction. Although his career-defining performances in club football came while playing for Liverpool FC (183 goals in two stints), the former striker was also an integral part of Manchester City from 2003-2006 and played for a number of other popular British clubs such as Leeds United, Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers. In an illustrious playing career spanning two decades, Fowler made his presence felt beyond England as well, having played for the Australian clubs North Queensland Fury and Perth Glory, and the Thai club Muangthong United Football Club. At the international level, Fowler has 7 goals in 26 appearances to his credit.
Fowler’s managerial potential was first tapped by Muangthong United in 2011 and in the 2019-20 season of the A-League, he was appointed by Brisbane Roar as their Head Coach. Bringing his wealth of experience into the SC East Bengal family, Fowler will leave no stone unturned to make our hundredth year special by bringing home laurels, respect and glory!
